What exact does JCarBuys do for me? JCarBuys is a sales agency that connects you to one of our partners that is best for your needs. To explain our role, JCarBuys doesn't have physical assets or handle your money. Instead we are in essence an external sales force working with our partners that will allow them to do their jobs the best they can and allow you to freely ask any questions you have to us.
We have a contract with our partners that they charge the same price to the customers we give them as to customers that go directly to them. We (JCarBuys) make money by taking a slice of their profits, not by adding to the bill. We make our money just as any other internal sales agent would.
For a fuller explaination, please visit "Business Model".
Who/how do I pay for a car? JCarBuys doesn't not handle cars or money (See "I'm Buying Cars from You, Right?") in the buying process. When you would like to purchase a car, we will tell you which of our partners you will buy from. Our partner, that is best for your needs, will provide you a car for you when you transfer money to their account and select a car through us. As an external sales agent group, JCarBuys will be doing all the communication and you will not have to talk to our partners. This frees up our partners to get more done while it allows you to ask us any question you might have.
How can I trust that you're not a scam? You won't need to give us any money and we won't ask you for any money. We are paid commision by our partners just as if we were part of their sales department. Instead of paying us, you will be placing a bank transfer into our partner's account. All of partner are legal, reputable company in their country.
Our partner in Japan is a registered company in Japan, and the bank account in in Japan, not some dodgy country. You can sue a company in Japan and report criminal activity to the police just like in any 1st world democracy.
Our local import agent partners (for our customers which don't want to import themselves) are also all registered companies within their respective countries and can be brought before authorities for any offenses.
We can also pass on existing customers as a reference if necessary. Although we prefer to avoid bothering customers if not actually necessary. Even with reference though, you have to trust those references. At end of day, it will always boil down to a gut instinct.
About Auctions...
Is the bidding process a bit like Ebay where I put a maximum bid and it bids up? Yes, it is a little similar to Ebay except only those registered and allowed by the Japanese government can participate at these auctions. That is why individuals must use companies with Japanese car trading licenses to buy from auctions. This keeps the auctions smooth (they usually take place in a physical location) and professional.
How can I get involved in Japanese auto auction?
You can participate in Japanese auto auction indirectly through auction agents such as JCarBuys. By joining JCarBuys, you can have access to over 90 of the largest auction sites in Japan. Viewing auctions is free of charge. To participate in the auctions (i.e. bid), you must first place a deposit as described in our Terms of Service. To purchase multiple cars, you must make deposit for each car.
So I can only make one bid per each deposit?
You are allowed to bid on multiple cars with one deposit, but only the first car that is won will be bought and the rest of the bids canceled. In other words, you can only successfully win a bid once per each deposit.
To explain further, say you want car model XYZ. There are three XYZ cars available on auction today, but you only want to buy one. To increase your chances of getting a XYZ, you can bid on all three and only pay one deposit. When you bid, all you must do is say in each of the cars' Bidding Notes "Only purchase one XYZ car. Also bidding on XYZ ID#xxx2, XYZ ID#xxx3."
We will then only attempt to purchase one of them as they come up for auction (auctions take place all day long). If we successfully win the first bid, we cancel the other bids. If unsuccessful, we bid on the next available car.

As-New cars are exportable and these vehicles we can provide you. You must know if your country differentiates be New and As-New. When you consider buying older equipment, it is important to keep in mind that old industrial vehicles have a hard life. They have been put to work, and it shows. If you plan to buy such equipment, it is important that you understand what is involved in owning such equipment. Its is highly recommended that you purchase such vehicles only if you are able to perform maintenance and repairs on such equipment, either within your own company, or with a convenient and cost effective 3rd party. If you are not confident of your capabilities in this area, then it is usually recommended that you buy new(er) vehicles/equipment.
